Sept 13th - Sept 21st

An Epic Multi-Activity Adventure Across Scotland's Wildest Landscapes

Use your fitness gained in London to see Scotland - the UK’s most epic place for outdoor adventure - like you’ve never seen before! Join us for an unforgettable 8-day expedition through Scotland's most dramatic landscapes, combining challenging mountain days, invigorating trail runs, wild camping, and coastal adventures. This isn't just a trip - it's a journey of camaraderie and bold adventures which you’ll remember forever.

EXPEDITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Two days in magnificent Glencoe attempting mountain summits like Bidean nam Bian (Three Sisters) and enjoying evenings in the legendary Clachaig Inn

  • Trail running along the rugged coastline of the Isle of Skye to the Point of Sleat (Freddie’s favourite running route!)

  • Wild camping on the east coast of Skye with views of the Outer Hebrides

  • Taking in the iconic sights of Skye - Quirang, Storr and Point of Neast

  • A two-day expedition in Torridon exploring some of Scotland’s wildest scenery and attempting to summit Beinn Alligin and Beinn Eighe

  • We’ll recover in Applecross before sea kayaking adventures in the pristine waters of Lochcarron

  • We’ll finish the trip with an Oban whisky experience at a legendary distillery followed by a celebratory night out before returning to Glasgow

JOURNEY OUTLINE:

Day 1 (Sept 13): Glasgow to Glencoe

  • Rendezvous in Glasgow at midday

  • Small hike into the ‘Lost Valley’ to shake out

  • Gear check and supply run in Fort William

  • Evening camp at Red Squirrel Campsite, Glencoe

  • Traditional Scottish welcome dinner at the historic Clachaig Inn

Day 2 (Sept 14): Glencoe Adventures

  • Glencoe is home to some of the most dramatic mountains in the UK! We’ll hike one and show you so some of the most epic views (weather permitting!)

  • Second night under the stars at Red Squirrel Campsite

Day 3-4 (Sept 15-16): Isle of Skye Exploration

  • Day 3: We’ll set off early and make our breakfast at an epic viewpoint on our way to Skye

  • First stop - a short but epic trail run along along Skye's southern shores to Point of Sleat - Freddie’s favourite ever running route! We’ll see some incredible beaches and unbelievable views.

  • We’ll wild camp atop the cliffs of the east coast with views of the Outer Hebrides

  • Day 4: Exploration of Skye's northern gems: Portree, Point of Sleat, Old Man of Storr, and the Quiraing

  • Hostel stay in Applecross for recovery

Day 5-6 (Sept 17-18): Torridon Expedition

  • Two-day mountain expedition taking in the magnificent Beinn Alligin and Beinn Eighe

  • Experience true Scottish wilderness with an overnight mountain expedition

  • Evening recovery in comfortable hostel accommodation on the 18th

Day 7 (Sept 19): Coastal Adventures

  • Sea kayaking exploration of Lochcarron's pristine waters

  • Overnight at a hostel in Kintail

Day 8 (Sept 20): Whiskey & Wind Down

  • Explore the area near our hostel with a short trail run before a scenic drive to Oban

  • Oban distillery experience

  • Celebration dinner and social

Day 9 (Sept 21): Return to Glasgow

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Challenging but achievable adventure for reasonably fit individuals - we’ll use London to help people prepare!

  • Mix of wild camping, campsite stays, and hostel accommodation

  • All activities guided by qualified outdoor instructors

  • True Scottish weather - be prepared for four seasons in one day!

  • Strong emphasis on group camaraderie and shared experiences

GROUP SIZE:

  • We need 6 people confirmed ASAP for the trip to go ahead so we can finalise bookings etc. - we can potentially take 7 but dependent on accommodation + activity booking.

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • ✅ A guide for the duration of the trip

  • ✅ All accommodation

  • ✅ 8 meals at various fabulous Scottish inns + restaurants

  • ✅ Sea kayaking tour (including kayaks and safety equipment)

  • ✅ Oban distillery tour and tasing

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED:

  • ❌ Transport to Glasgow

  • ❌ Kit mentioned in the list below

  • ❌ Personal snacks or camping food - only meals at pre-booked restaurants

  • ❌ Insurance - make sure you have your own travel insurance

TRANSPORT:

All transport during the trip (from Glasgow onwards) will be in a shared 9-seater vehicle. This will be hired and driven by a member of the group (Freddie).

This will be arranged as a shared group cost - it’s not a commercial service, but an informal, private arrangement between participants to help keep costs down and logistics smooth. You’ll just need to make your own way to Glasgow for the start of the trip.

Transport Contribution:
We expect the shared cost for hiring the 9-seater van and fuel to be approximately £220-£260 per person for the trip (based on 7 people in the van). This amount will be collected separately and is not included in the main trip fee. Exact costs will be confirmed closer to departure.

  • £1,125 - non-member price **£1,068.50 if booked by end of June

  • £990 - Jove Club members **£940.50 if booked by end of June
